Women: 50—60 grams of protein Men: 60—70 grams of protein Start taking your chewable vitamin supplement with minerals.

Drink plenty of fluids, 48—64 ounces per day. Each meal should contain three parts protein, two parts low-fiber produce and one part complex starch.

During this stage of the post-weight loss surgery diet, you can still consume liquids like you did during the previous stage. You will want to make sure you are still consuming enough water to stay properly hydrated so your body recovers properly. Most people need to drink at least 64 ounces of water every day. After weight loss surgery, no less than half of your fluid intake should be water.

You will want to make the transition to pureed foods slowly. Taylor will guide you through this process. Pureed foods are mashed, squished or soft foods that are thicker than liquid but do not require chewing. These foods might be prepared in a food processor, steamed or boiled so that you can easily mash the items with a fork and light pressure.

There are also some I talk through in this video and some recipes in the members section here. I am starting my fourth week post op tomorrow. So far so good. I am doing a mix of soft foods and have tried at least one portion of either chicken or turkey per day. I still drink one protein drink a day along with foods like cottage cheese with soft fruit, yogurt, soup, and a small portion of meat.

Liquids seem to still be a struggle but I am making gains on that end. My husband and I walk 3 miles at least days a week. I seem to be stalled in weight loss though. I have lost 26 lbs from the pre op stage till now. My beginning weight was I am wondering if this is a good weight loss for the stage I am at.
